quiverの語源
Middle English: from Old English cwifer ‘nimble, quick’. The initial qu- is probably symbolic of quick movement (as in quaver and quick)
中世英語：古英語のcwifer「軽快な、素早い」が語源。頭文字のqu-は素早い動き（quaverやquickのように）を象徴しているのだろう。
