husbandの語源
Old English husbonda (in the senses ‘male head of a household’ and ‘manager, steward’), from Old Norse húsbóndi ‘master of a house’, from hús ‘house’ + bóndi ‘occupier and tiller of the soil’. The original sense of the verb was ‘till, cultivate’
古英語の husbonda（「男性の世帯主」「管理者、執事」の意味）は、古ノルド語の húsbóndi「家の主」に由来し、hús「家」＋bóndi「土を占める人、耕す人」から来ている。この動詞の原義は「耕す、耕作する」である。
